About Liu
Liu is building a unified learning environment for people who want genuine Mandarin ability—not another collection of disconnected lessons, tools, and engagement tricks.
Why Liu exists
One app builds a habit. Another manages flashcards. A dictionary explains words. A separate service provides conversation practice. Progress becomes scattered, and the learner is left responsible for making everything work together.
Liu was created around a different premise: the product should manage the learning system so the learner can focus on learning. Vocabulary, review timing, progression, practice variety, and motivation should reinforce one another inside one coherent experience.
The goal is not to make studying feel endless. It is to make each return to studying matter.
Our approach
Liu uses motivation and game mechanics, but they remain in service of learning. Progress must still come from recall, repetition, comprehension, and time.
