Billing
Cancellation and refund rules for existing or historical Liu transactions. New paid checkout is not currently offered during the open beta.
Effective date: July 10, 2026
Paid purchases are not available during Liu's open beta. This policy remains available for eligible transactions that already exist, including historical subscriptions, purchases, gifts, charges, cancellations, and refund requests.
This policy applies to eligible purchases that were completed directly through Liu's website checkout, including purchases made for your own account and purchases sent to another Liu user as a gift.
Liu is not currently accepting new paid checkout transactions during the open beta when commercial checkout is disabled. Disabling new checkout does not remove rights or support associated with an eligible transaction that was already completed.
If Liu offers purchases through Apple's App Store, Google Play, or another third-party storefront, that storefront's billing, cancellation, and refund rules may apply instead.
If you already have an eligible monthly or annual Liu Pro subscription, you may cancel it before its next renewal. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and does not immediately remove access that remains active through an existing paid period.
To review or cancel an existing recurring plan, open Liu Settings, go to the Billing section, and select Manage Billing. Where available for the account, Liu will redirect you to Stripe's billing portal to review the existing subscription, payment information, invoices, and available subscription-management actions.
Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions. Cancelling stops applicable future renewals but does not automatically refund a payment that has already been completed.
For an eligible purchase previously completed directly through Liu's website checkout, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase or renewal date. After that window, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
This refund-request window applies whether the eligible purchase was made for your own Liu account or sent to another Liu user as a gift. Refund requests must normally be submitted by the person who completed the payment.
If a refund is approved, Liu may remove or reverse the corresponding subscription access, Founder's Edition access, purchased Jade, gift, or other digital benefit associated with the refunded transaction.
Founder's Edition is structured as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. For an eligible Founder's Edition purchase previously completed directly through Liu's website checkout, a full refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase. After that period, the purchase is generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
An approved Founder's Edition refund may remove the associated lifetime Pro access and Founder recognition from the account that received the purchase.
Founder's Edition provides lifetime access to Pro as future Pro features launch. It does not make unshipped features available immediately or guarantee a fixed future feature list or timeline.
Founder or Pro access that was granted without a purchase, such as an administrator-issued access grant, is not itself a refundable transaction because no payment was required for that grant.
Existing recurring-plan cancellations should generally be completed through the billing-management controls available to the account when possible.
To request a refund or get help with an existing charge, email support@liu.app from the email address associated with the transaction or Liu account.
Include the purchase type, the purchaser's Liu account email, the approximate purchase date, the amount charged, and any Stripe receipt, invoice, or order reference you have.
If the purchase was sent as a gift, also include the recipient's Liu account email or display name. We may request additional information to verify the transaction and protect the account holder.
Never send your complete payment-card number, card security code, Liu password, recovery codes, or authentication codes.
Visit Support for help with an existing billing issue, account access, privacy request, or general question.
